Last updated October 30, 2026. Plus15 Media Ltd. is a Calgary, Alberta company. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Where personal information moves across provincial or national borders in the course of our business, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) may also apply.
Our Director of Strategy and Partnerships is responsible for this policy and answers questions about it. Email hello (at) plus15.ca with "Privacy" in the subject line, call +1 403 671 0007, or write to Plus15 Media Ltd., Calgary, Alberta.
Enquiries and projects. When you email, call or message us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company and what you tell us about your project. We use it to reply, prepare a quote, deliver the work, invoice, and keep project records.
Website visits. Google Analytics collects pages viewed, time on page, the site that referred you, device and browser type, and approximate location by city, using cookies. We use it to see which pages are useful and improve the site. Cloudflare and Webflow process your IP address to deliver pages and block attacks.
Films. Our films are hosted on Vimeo and load only when you press play. Our player links ask Vimeo not to track you.
Films and photographs. We film and photograph work sites, events and public places for our clients. A recognizable person in a film or photograph is personal information. How we handle it is set out under Filming and photography, below.
We collect only what we need for these purposes, and we do not use personal information for a new purpose without telling you and, where required, getting your consent.
Client staff, site crews and members of the public can appear in the films and photographs we make on work sites, at events and in public places. We use that footage for the project it was captured for, in the ways agreed with the client who commissioned it, and to show our own work.
If you appear in our work and want to be removed, or have a question about footage of you, contact our privacy contact. We will remove or blur you in our future edits and uses, and raise your request with the client for pieces they have already published.
When you contact us, you consent to us using your information to respond and to work with you. You can withdraw your consent at any time by giving us reasonable notice, unless withdrawing would frustrate a legal obligation. We will tell you what withdrawing means for any work in progress. You can refuse or delete analytics cookies in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business and the website, with your consent, or where the law requires or allows it. Films and photographs we make are delivered to the client who commissioned them, who may publish them under their own privacy practices.
Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Canada, mainly in the United States: Google (Google Workspace email and file storage, and Google Analytics), Webflow (website hosting and content management), Cloudflare (website delivery and security) and Vimeo (film hosting). Google may also store information in other countries where it runs data centres. Information held outside Canada can be accessed by courts, law enforcement and national security authorities in those countries under their laws.
You can ask our privacy contact for written information about our policies and practices for service providers outside Canada, and our privacy contact will answer your questions about how those providers collect, use, disclose or store personal information for us.
We use reasonable security arrangements suited to the sensitivity of the information, including access limited to the crew who need it, multi-factor authentication on our business accounts, and providers that encrypt data in transit.
If a loss of, or unauthorized access to, personal information creates a real risk of significant harm to anyone, we will notify the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta without unreasonable delay, and notify the people affected as the Commissioner requires.
We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it for legal or business purposes, such as tax and accounting records. If we use your information to make a decision that affects you, we keep it for at least 1 year after that decision so you can ask to see it. After that, we securely destroy it or make it anonymous. Google Analytics keeps detailed visit data for no more than 14 months; after that, only combined statistics that do not identify you remain.
You can ask in writing to see the personal information we hold about you, how it has been used, and who it has been disclosed to, and you can ask us to correct it. Send your request to our privacy contact. We respond within 45 days, unless PIPA allows us to extend that time, and we will tell you if we do. We may charge a reasonable fee for access and will give you an estimate before we start. There is no fee to correct your information.
Contact our privacy contact first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can ask the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta for a review (oipc.ab.ca, 1-888-878-4044). Where PIPEDA applies, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and a written copy is available from our privacy contact.
